Summer is right around the corner. This is the time as a family you decide what am I going to do for a vacation? With the price of gas soaring, a staycation is a wonderful way to spend time enjoying your nearby attractions. Staycations is staying at home during your vacation instead of traveling to a pleasure destination. Use this time as a family to appreciate all that Lexington and nearby towns have to offer for your entertainment. Don’t forget to use your local parks that offer tennis, playgrounds, picnic area plus much more giving your family an active afternoon of fun. You will be surprised at how much fun as a family you can have for free by being creative.

Here are some wonderful ideas to enjoy during the summer.

Joseph Beth is offering Camp Joseph-Beth this summer. Check out the wonderful camps available for children from ages 7 and up. Many of the camps are free or charge a small fee for supplies.

Regal Theaters’ Summer Movie Express features movies costing just $1. Pick from two films shown Tuesdays and Wednesdays at 10am. A portion of proceeds from the Summer Movie Express will be donated to the Will Rogers Institute.

Register your child to receive two free games of bowling every day all summer long at participating bowling locations.

Celebrate National Fishing and Boating week with free fishing days June 2 and June 3 in Kentucky.
