Not since the economy has gotten bad did the word Staycations become a staple in many households. The definition of staycation is a period in which an individual or family stays home and participates in leisure activities within driving distance, sleeping in their own beds at night. Many common activities of staycations include family pools, visits to local parks and museums or local festivals. Check out your local chamber of commerce and Kentucky.com for local events. Being creative and proactive by registering for programs will give your family many wonderful memories within your budget.
