People ask me how I think of subjects to write about in my column. Most of the time something will happen that will trigger an idea. Here is this week‘s trigger. I try to tell people that when you are shopping there are deals all over the stores that don’t even require you to bring a coupon. I was in Kroger’s in Versailles shopping on Sunday. They have a big display of watermelons with a sign that says buy a watermelon get a free bottle of Minute Maid lemonade with coupon. To make it even easier they have put many bottles of lemonade at the display along with the coupon. I watched as three customers grabbed watermelons but never took advantage of the free lemonade. For some reason they didn’t see this huge sign wrapped around the watermelon display because why wouldn’t you want to get something for free. Be aware of prices of products you buy. Look at displays in stores. Glance at the store’s sale flyer before shopping. Nobody has enough money to just throw it away. I know we are all busy but we need to stop and shop wisely.
One way of getting savings without clipping coupons is going to clipless coupons. These coupons will be added right to your Kroger card. All you have to do is scan your Kroger plus card and the coupons will be deducted at the end of your checkout.
