Fru-Gal Column January 6

Last week TLC network introduced a new program called Extreme Couponing. I watched the show with a little disapproval but gave kudos to the three couponers that were portrayed in the show. I know that because of TV they were excessive with their shopping trip. One shopper even bought a trailer along to carry his groceries. It was amazing to see his final results of getting $938 worth of groceries for just around $10. I just want you to know that he spent many hours of research and clipping coupons to get that load. When I saw that they actually made garages, extra bedrooms, and offices into stockpile rooms, it was crazy. I have two closets in my house for my stockpile. Let’s be realistic you don’t need enough shampoo and conditioner to last you over four years. Most sales are in 90 day cycles. You will see that most of the coupons will come around again and so will the sales. What they did portray was you can save by clipping coupons. I am going to make your next shopping trip easy. The following list coordinates coupons, ecoupons and sales making many items under $1 or FREE. TLC is showing Extreme Couponers this Thursday at 10pm. If you want some more help with couponing, get together with other fellow couponers by participating in a Savings Class on February 1 starting at 6:30pm at Tates Creek Library.
