Is there a time when free just isn’t enough? A couple of weeks ago I received three free rolls of toilet paper. My husband says that the quality of the paper wasn’t worth free. A reader emailed me saying she loved my email updates but was concerned that people where signing up for free items but not really needing them. I thought about both these questions trying to figure when I wouldn’t get something if it was free. Something I have learned in the past is that there are items that I wouldn’t get again but I was glad that I didn’t pay anything for them in the first place. I also feel that if you use your creative side of your brain most of the time you can put to use everything you get. I receive at least thirty magazines a month. I enjoy reading most of them but when I am done I bring them to The Ronald McDonald Family Room at UK Children’s Hospital so other people can also enjoy them. I have made beautiful baby shower, bridal shower and birthday baskets using samples and free items from CVS, RiteAid and Walgreens. I love to share free stuff with my readers. I also can’t believe how much free stuff is out there. Yes, you can think to yourself would I really need this? I can tell you that the other day that little package of sample baby wipes I put in my car helped me when I needed to wipe my hands off.
