Frugal Column November 20, 2011

I am rich. During this holiday season I want you to think how rich you actually are. Every week I tell you how to save money but does money take you one step closer to being rich? In our society we associate having actual tangible goods as wealth. Isn’t that what has pushed our economic problems to the limits? Think about the day when you felt the richest. It wasn’t the day you received that raise but the day someone went just a little out of their way to make you feel better. I am very blessed because I have the opportunity to reach out to everyone helping them with my advice each week. It makes me feel like a millionaire when someone says I read your column and love the advice. The holidays are a wonderful time to reevaluate your wealth. Look at your family as a source of richness along with friends and colleagues. Spread your good fortune to someone else, reach out to one person and say Thank You.
