Another item that changes at the start of a new year is lots of new rebates are available. A rebate is a refund mailed to you when you send in a form via mail along with all the required receipts and purchases. Yes you do have to pay full price but you can get some great freebies with refund checks. As I always state that rebates do have an expiration date. When you get home fill out the form, cut all the appropriate UPC’s or labels out and have your original receipt. Please read the fine print so you will not get a letter in the mail saying your rebate was denied. If it says circle the purchase price make sure you do it. Why do companies give you rebates initially making the item free? About 60 percent of rebates do not get mailed in. You forget or you wait and lose your original slip. This is one reason I always have stamps at home to fill out the form and mail it right away. Don’t let them keep that money!
