Now is the time to start thinking about the holidays. Being
prepared will only save you money but also your sanity. Many big name retailers
are cutting the cost of their layaway program to help reduce your holiday
expenses. Layaway, which was popular during the depression nearly, went away
due to credit cards. Layaway maybe old fashion but it is coming back in style.
This is a great way to get your presents, pay a little each week towards your
total so when December rolls around you will be ahead of the game with your
presents bought and paid for in full. This saves you running up your credit
card bill and worrying about how you are going to pay it off in January. Kmart,
Toys R Us and Wal-Mart are stores where layaway is available. Kmart has dropped
its service fee on new layaway purchases made online or at Kmart stores from
now through November 17. There is no minimum transaction amount required. Toys
R Us is also offering free layaway with no minimum purchase from now through
October 31. After Halloween, there’s a $5 service fee for layaway orders.
Wal-Mart will reduce its service fee from $15 to $5 starting now. The lower fee
is good through December 14th. Customers will get the $5 fee
refunded on a Wal-Mart gift card when they make the final payment. Before you
start any layaway program you need to know about the down payment. How much is
required? You also want to ask what happens if the item goes on sale while
still on layaway. Will you get the lower price? Layaway programs have a lot of
rules, such as when to pay, where to pay and the deadline for picking up the
item. Make sure you read the layaway policy and understand them. Break the
rules, and the layaway may be canceled and you will be charged a cancellation
fee.

Hi, my name is
Steve Estepp. I own 2 shell gas stations here in Lexington, one on Newtown Pike
and the other in Hamburg. We are having a ladies promotion on Sept 18, 25 and
every Tuesday in October. We will be providing full service for free. Just
pull, stay in your car and we will take care of the rest. Pump the gas, wash
windows and check fluids. We will even get you a drink or snack from inside. We
will be doing this at both locations. There will be additional gifts, door
prizes and giveaways. My aunt is currently undergoing chemo and this promo is
also designed to promote breast cancer awareness.
