Frugal Forum October 21, 2012

Shopping is like an adventure you never know what is going to pop up around the corner. When walking into a store keep your eyes open. Right when I entered Kroger’s last week I saw a coupon hanging from the soda display in the front entrance that read $1 off Dr. Pepper when you purchase $10 worth of grilling meat. The Dr. Pepper was on sale for 10/$10 and I was actually going in to get supplies for a barbeque. Let’s say I walked out with four free bottles because I bought $40 worth of meat. Keep your options open when shopping. I purchased four packages of toilet paper from Staples with a coupon in their ad. Thinking that Staples is just for office equipment can stop you from getting some great deals on breakroom items that you use at home for example coffee, cups, plates, napkins and much more. Staples and all the other office supplies stores also take coupons. If you go to the home improvement stores like Lowe’s and Home Depot you will also see an aisle of cleaning products. Bring you coupons in for good deal on your household cleaning supplies. Target is one of my favorite places to buy food supplies. I use my manufacturer coupons along with Target store coupons to double the savings on food items. Become a Shop your Way Member at Kmart to receive a free 6 pack of Hershey’s Reese’s peanut butter cup snack size bars with $20 purchase check out coupon in sales flyer. So keep your options open to get great deals at the unlikely places.

When you buy four drinks for friends or office mates, they’ll give you yours for free. Just download the handy order-taking form, make the run and get the reward. Offer valid 8/28/12–11/12/12. Buy any four handcrafted beverages at full price get a fifth handcrafted beverage of your choice for free. Excludes chilled bottled beverages. At participating Starbucks locations. Cannot be combined with other offers or discounts.
