Column 2-25-2010

This week I am going to do an overview of some websites, stores, and just plain old good deals that I have talked about throughout the year. I stress to everyone all the time that you work hard for your money don’t just throw it away. Be aware when you are shopping for sales, look at prices and search the internet for deals. I know spare time is limited in our lives but lately so isn’t money. If you do anything follow my suggestions which will ultimately lead you to savings.
Photos: With camera phones and digital cameras that are very reasonably priced you have the ability to be taking lots of photos.
· WALGREEN PHOTO CENTER – sign up they are always sending you specials. You can order online then pick up in store for no shipping costs. Sign up to receive emails with special offers. This week they have a special offer everyday.

· FREE 8x10 print from Walgreens on February 25, 2010 print out coupon

· SEARS PHOTO OFFER- Print out limited time coupons for special photo offers. You can receive a FREE character collage or FREE classic 10 X 13 wall portrait.

· SEE HERE is a website associated with Walmart so you can pick up your pictures without any shipping fee. When you sign up you will receive 50 free 4 x 6 pictures.

· SNAPFISH has a variety of customized photo gifts for all occasions. Sign up now and receive 50 free prints and free 4 x 6 flipbook. You will have two months to claim your freebies. From now until February 28, 2010 you can get a free photo book with the purchase of one photobook just use coupon code CARNIEBOOKS. · SHUTTERFLY offers personalized gifts for many occasions. It is easy to use and have many specials throughout the year. I had my holiday cards done last year that costs me around $10 for 100 customized cards with envelopes delivered by FedEx in 5 days.

As everyone knows entertainment or going out to a nice dinner can be very expensive. I am a huge fan of free movies and discounted gift certificates.
· REDBOX- Sign up for special offers from Redbox and you will receive a code for a free movie. Redbox also will text you a free movie code every first Monday of the month.

· BESTBUY- If you look in their flyers or visit their stores you can find deals on free movie tickets when you purchase qualifying DVDs. Right now they have a FREE movie ticket to Disney’s Alice in Wonderland with purchase. Check out Sunday’s paper ad.

· TROPICANA- Buying orange juice can save you money on tickets to venues in your area. Just sign up and enter the code under the cap to give yourself reward points. When you get so many points could be just two you can get two for one entertainment tickets and more.

· I don’t always recommend applying for a credit card but many cards offer discounted or unique benefits. The Visa Signature card offers many entertainment deals at different times like buying one movie ticket and gets another one free.

· Libraries are a wonderful resource for your entertainment needs. You can take out books, CD’s, DVD’s or take a class- all for FREE. I have taken and taught classes at different area libraries that have been fulfilling. On Saturday, February 27 from 11am to 12pm, I will be teaching a class on how to save money at the Woodford County Library, 115 North Main Street, Versailles KY. Call 873-5191 to register.

· RESTAURANT.COM- I use this website often even when I travel. Right now you can get a $25 restaurant gift certificate for only $2 when you enter discount code: SAVOR.

· WHOLE FOODS- Monday – Fresh Pack Soup Buy One Get One Free Mix n Match. Tuesday – Pizza Buy One Get One Free Wednesday – Select Bulk Deli Meats - $3.00 off per lb. If you have never been to Whole Foods go to the customer service desk and ask for their new customer gift bag.

· STARBUCKS- Register your Starbucks gift card online for freebies throughout the year. If you never received a gift card buy one for yourself. I use mine when I travel to receive free internet service at any Starbucks also get a free coffee on your birthday.
I went to the mall yesterday for my freebie. If you have a favorite store go online and sign up for their special offers.

· VICTORIA SECRET- Sign up to become a member of Pink Nation to receive a free fragrance sampler. They will send you freebies every month.

· OLDNAVYWEEKLY- Old Navy every week puts out a limited amount of some phenomenal coupons for you to print.
